Internship with Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), Copenhagen Office

Six-month UNPAID Internship in Communication and Administration at the Foundation for Environmental Education

The Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) is looking for an unpaid intern who would like to become part of the communication and administration team at FEE headquarters in Copenhagen.
S/he is expected to multi-task between communication and administration duties, which will include working on the new Global Forest Fund initiative and latest FEE Annual Report.
The internship period will be from 1 October 2019 until 31 March 2020 (approx. 6 months).
Main tasks and responsibilities - Communication and PR
·      Contact with members and finding and writing news stories for the FEE website.
·      Helping with the marketing and branding of the new Global Forest Fund launch.
·      Maintenance of social media FEE accounts, particularly Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
·      Responsible for the monthly FEE Newsletter for the global network.
·      Project Coordinator with the new content for the 2020 FEE Annual Report.
Main tasks and responsibilities – Administration
·      Support the CEO and the administrative Director with various tasks
·      Help prepare presentations and reports for meetings
·      Support our FEE members and network
·      Update and maintain member databases
·      Organise travel arrangements and meetings
·      Ad hoc tasks
Please note the following terms and conditions
·      Unpaid internship for a duration of approximately six months.
·      The successful applicant to start in October 2019.
·      The successful applicant will be provided with a workspace at FEE Head Office.
·      The successful applicant will be responsible for securing their own accommodation and arranging their transport between home and FEE Head Office in Sydhavn, Copenhagen 2450. FEE will reimburse travel costs up to a certain limit. 

·      English is the official language at FEE Head Office and strong proficiency in this is required.
·      The successful applicant may have to travel in connection with the position. FEE will bear the cost associated with the travel.
·      The successful applicant may be offered the opportunity to take online courses for specific programmes to fulfil tasks e.g. Podio management or Visme.
Note: Some of the above conditions are negotiable once you have been chosen for the position. 

Required skills and experience
·      Excellent written and spoken English
·      Proof of past communication or media experience.
·      Proficient user of Microsoft Office package
·      Experience with Adobe tools (InDesign, Illustrator, etc.)
·      The capability of working in a team as well as independently.
·      Comfortable working in a multicultural environment.
·      A precise and organised way of working.

Highly valued
·      Knowledge of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and/or environmental issues.
·      Knowledge of social media and basic understanding of content marketing.
·      Basic journalism and good writing skills.
