The rational selection process has been determined for the same.
The Center for Education and Human Resource Development has made correspondence with all of the 77 District Unit for Education Development and Collaboration. These Units are responsible for evaluating the teachers and selecting the best one with standard rationality throughout the country.
Out of 100 scores, the average learning outcome of all pupils carries 40; the learning outcome of teacher’s recruited level pupils carries 20; use of curricular guide, teaching resources, and relevant teaching methods carry 20, contribution towards extra- and co-curricular activities in the school carry 10, and contribution towards the school development carries 10.

For being eligible for the award, the candidate should have at least 10 years of teaching experience, must be a permanent teacher, should have at least 24 classes in a week, should have done action research and should be in pursuit of innovation, should have completed 3 years after promotion, should have achieved at least 90 score in individual assessment, should be trained, should not have faced departmental action against misdeeds, students of highest teaching class should have mean score of more than 80 percent. Additional requirements for the school have been determined – with financial clearance, regular submission of accounting of assets/finance, timely organisation of School Management Committee.
National Education Day is being celebrated this Bhadra 22. The day is Gregorian equivalent of September 8, International Literacy Day. The slogan for 2019 is ‘Literacy and Multilingualism’. Not only the schools, but the Institutions of Higher Education are also being awarded by University Grants Commission.
