Health and Physical Education has been popularly termed with its acronym – HPE in Nepalese school system. It has been regarded as an important subject for overall development of a child. It includes awareness on health issues and practice of various physical activities for maintaining the fitness of the same group of young people. HPE as a subject is introduced from grade 6. The new curriculum also includes creative arts with HPE.

Creative Arts is plural because Art has many forms. If we take into account the multiple forms of Art, then it is viable to term it as ‘Arts’.
