The third year of pre-school system of Nepal is generally called UKG. In government-funded schools, it is mostly called ECD Class – Level 3. Kids of age 4-5 are kept in this grade. Students continue learning to combine consonants and vowels, read and write words in Nepali and English. Near to the end of the year, they also attempt to make simple sentences in Nepali and English. They continue learning to add one digit numbers. The students of this age generally reduce the nap time and compensate with play-time.
